What to Expect on Your First Pod Anywhere Recording Day

So, you've booked your first podcast session with Pod Anywhere. Now what?
Whether you're a seasoned speaker or just dipping your toe into podcasting for the first time, our job is to make the entire process seamless, professional, and stress-free. You don’t need a background in media, you don’t need to set up a single cable and you don’t need to worry about how you’ll look or sound. We’ve got it covered.
Here’s what to expect when we bring the full studio to your office.
The Setup: We Arrive Early, So You Don’t Have To Stress
We typically arrive 90 minutes before your scheduled recording time to set up the complete studio environment. This includes:
- Up to 4 Sony FX30 Cinema Line cameras for multi-angle 4K video
- Up to 4 Shure SM7B broadcast microphones for crisp, warm audio
- Professional-grade soft lighting to flatter everyone on camera
- Audio interface, multi-cam switcher, cables, stands, and monitor screens
We’ll transform your meeting room, boardroom or breakout space into a ready-to-roll studio, without disrupting your team or workflow.
The Brief: We'll Talk You Through It All
Before the recording starts, we’ll run a quick tech check and brief everyone involved. This is where we’ll cover:
- Mic placement and posture tips
- Where to look for the best camera angles
- How the conversation will flow (and how we’ll guide it if needed)
- What to do if you lose your train of thought (hint: we edit)
Whether you’re speaking to camera solo or having a multi-guest conversation, our team will guide you every step of the way, professionally, calmly, and without jargon.
During Recording: Relax, We’ve Got You
You’ll feel a lightness to the process because we do all the heavy lifting. We'll be monitoring sound levels, switching camera angles, and capturing the best takes, without you needing to think about any of it.
Most sessions are wrapped in 30 to 60 minutes, and we can record more than one episode if you've planned ahead. Need a redo on a question? No problem, that’s what post-production is for.
After Recording: We Take It From Here
Once we wrap, we’ll pack everything away discreetly and securely. Then, we’ll handle:
- Video editing (cuts, angles, intros/outros, lower thirds, etc.)
- Audio mastering for podcast platforms
- Thumbnail and graphics design (if needed)
- Short-form content creation (if part of your package)
You’ll receive a fully polished, professionally delivered final product, ready to publish on YouTube, Spotify, LinkedIn, or wherever your audience is.
What You Need to Do in Advance (Not too much)
Just a few simple things to make the day flow even more smoothly:
- Pick a quiet, private space in your office (we can advise on this if needed)
- Send your team/guests a heads-up on what to expect (we can provide a prep checklist)
- Think about what you’d like to say — we can help shape it if you’re unsure
You don’t need a script. You don’t need to be a “podcast person.” You just need a reason to speak and then we’ll help you sound and look your best.
